New quoteOne of our HVAC systems at our restaurant The Jazz Corner completely went out… in June! As the Summer heat wave was rapidly approaching and being open every night of the week, we had no time to deal with, worry about, or spend a lot of time figuring out what to do about our urgent air conditioning situation. The unit we had that finally decided to call it quits was the one serving both the back half of the dining room and the kitchen. The crew in the kitchen was getting so hot that people were having a hard time getting through shifts and it really bothered me that I had no control over that situation. I was sure we were going to have to close the restaurant to deal with this issue. We called SIX different HVAC companies and professionals to get prices, opinions, and directions on where to go from here. Some companies never even got back to us with a quote, others gave us incredibly inflated quotes, and others had different ideas of how to make the air work better that either added up to a lot of work, closing to do the work, very costly estimates, or very lengthy building altering replacement jobs.
By chance, someone from a newer company called CH3 heard that we were having problems and reached out to us through e-mail. I’ve been in the area for most of my life and I had never heard of them. From the first conversation we had on the phone, I was put at ease and someone got out to see what we were dealing with right away! The owner of the company Chad came in, looked at everything, and said to me… “Why don’t you split up from one to two units and have them running separately since the dining room and kitchen are completely different temperatures? That’s what I would do if it were me.” I then thought… “WOW, that makes a lot of sense!” After that, with no time to waste, I looked over all of the options laid out in front of me and CH3’s option was the best plan, with the fastest result, for the absolute best price! Chad then informed me that he could do the work AND get the equipment almost immediately. The unit we currently had was partially on the roof and partially in the attic space which no company ever really liked to work on and honestly the company we had prior decided to drop us because of that unit and how difficult they said it was to work on. Chad not only got his crew up in the attic space, he took his own lighting system up there, had it completely lit up, and made camp up there for almost of an entire night after we closed to change out equipment, parts, ducts, and re-route new paths for all of the duct work that needed to be replaced, while at the same time getting the two new HVAC units on the roof after removing the old unit.
The kitchen was up and running in just a couple of days and the dining room a couple of days after that! Whenever I needed updates or had questions I would call and get Chad himself or the manager Ashley on the phone immediately and directly. They always had quick answers and always strived to make sure I was happy and at ease throughout the entire process. CH3 REALLY went above and beyond with a passionate aim to please! Chad would reiterate his motto to me throughout the time spent during and at the end of this install… “If you’re happy, I’m happy”. Well, I’m very happy and he has a loyal customer out of us from here! This went the best it could have possibly gone considering the circumstances and CH3 was one of the most pleasant companies I’ve ever dealt with. The air feels great at the restaurant, and we couldn’t be happier!
